My Grocery List!

This is basically everything I buy when I go to the store:

Better’n low sodium peanut butter or an organic brand peanut butter (Woodstock farms, Shaw’s brand) with about 200 calories. Both are great for you, depending on what you use them for. Make sure that the only ingredient is PEANUTS unless you get Better’n. Skippy reduced fat has hydrogenated oils which are trans fat! 

weight watchers non-fat yogurt (LOVE all flavors & only 100 cal) or dannon light & fit (Again, yummy flavors + 80 calories) *these are a TREAT because of the high sugar content* Do not eat every day :)

plain greek yogurt- Chobani, Dannon oikos, Stonyfield oikos- I eat these regularly but not every day and mix in fresh fruit, granola, cereal, canned pumpkin, flaxseeds, nuts, sugar free jello mix, anything I want 

special k bars- chocolatey chip and chocolate covered pretzel are my favorite! *Again, I eat these as a treat.

special k cereal (strawberry) or multigrain cheerios; I rotate my cereals 

arnold’s sandwich thins, wheat (100 cals per bun) 

stew leonards rice cakes (ONLY 15 CALS)

stew leonards pickles

ocean spray diet cranberry juice- I use this only on the weekends when I am drinking alcohol and in MODERATION

water- most important thing in one’s diet

turkey hill diet iced tea

fat free cream cheese

strawberries

blackberries

raspberries

red grapes

blueberries

bananas

pineapple

kiwi

mango (occasionally)

peaches

granny smith apples *I normally stick with these apples but I have listed others below that I get one or two of when I go shopping for variety*

galla apples

honey crisp apples

ginger gold apples

necterines 

plums

grapefruit 

pears

Meat=protein=good. I cook all of the following on my panini grill :)

morning star veggie burgers (griller’s original)

morning star turkey burgers

chicken breast

shrimp

tilapia fish

scallops

english cucumbers

spinach leaves or romaine lettuce

tomatoes

carrots

celery

raw broccoli

kale

fresh green and/or wax beans

snap peas or snow peas

wishbone fat free italian dressing

fat free ranch dressing

peter lugar’s steak sauce- I use this on my veggie burgers on the wheat buns. SO DELISH and delectable 

no sugar added motts apple sauce- 50 calories of nom nom nom

brothers-all-natural fruit crisps- buy in bulk at costco!

vitamin water zero- I buy the ones with the least amount of carbs, so all except XXX- but XXX is still good for you and I get it occasionally because it is my favorite flavor.

ICE sparkling water- lemon lime and pink grapefruit are my favorite

skinny water- every flavor- wakeup is my favorite

lemons/limes to marinate the tilapia in or just eat plain- I am crazy I know

Quaker’s plain oatmeal (100 calories)

Kashi seven grain puff cereal (70 calories per cup)

Luna Bars- all flavors- my favorite are the peanut butter cookie, caramel nut brownie, white macadamia, vanilla almond, and the iced oatmeal raisin. However, I literally buy EVERY flavor they are SOOOO good.

tea- I am obsessed with hot tea- loose leaf, tea bags, you name it, I drink it- I don’t buy a specific kind but the ones I am drinking right now are Tazo or Lipton green tea, Teavana, and Bigelow. The flavors are banana, pumpkin, apple cider, eggnog, ginger snapfish, chocolate, lemon, ginger coconut, almond biscotti, and so many more.

no salt added rice cakes-around 35 calories a cake

squash- butternut, acorn, spaghetti. it’s SO good

sweet potatoes

tofu shirataki noodles- I found them at Shaw’s and local “green” grocery stores around here

sugar-free jello mix- 10 calories, mix in my oatmeal or yogurt

365 brand whey protein powder in vanilla- chocolate is amazing too!

tribe hummus- zesty lemon and roasted garlic

trop 50 calcium orange juice

egg whites- I either buy eggs and just use the whites or Stop and Shop brand egg whites in a carton if they are onsale

Progresso low sodium soups

frozen vegetables- store brand usually, the “steam” ready kind

garden lite’s frozen dishes or souffles- Again, I found them at Shaw’s- They are amazing and SO filling

fresh cranberries- a little tart, but I like sour- I eat them plain, mix with oatmeal, cereal for a trail mix, or put them in my yogurt.
